Families explore nature, including tours of our South Lawn outdoor installation.
Logan Center Community Arts hosts this family-friendly event on the first Saturday of the month. Cultivate your child’s artistic curiosity with thematic art workshops led by local artists, art organizations, and UChicago students. Families can sample a range of activities for ages 2–12 through hour-long sessions led by local artists.
Every Family Saturday is FREE, and all supplies are provided! Families are encouraged to bring their own blankets to sit on during storytelling session.
For our first 2023-2024 Family Saturday, we kick off our season with a little nature, a touch of rest, and a lot of play as we explore the oasis outside of Logan Center. Step into Fall with us as we explore the Logan Center’s outdoor exhibition “Untidy Objects,” a joint collaboration between Amber Ginsburg, Sara Black, and Samantha Frost. We are excited to cultivate an afternoon of leisure and learning about butterflies, wildflowers, the environment, and the beautiful ways we co-exist in this lush world.
